How Does it Work?
Laser hair removal is a quick and safe way to remove hair-this process starts with a complimentary consultation, at which time our trained specialist will review the process to remove your unwanted hair. Pulses of filtered light are directed onto the skin and absorbed by the hair follicles. Hair Removal Procedure?
It is completed in 4 simple and painless steps:
STEP 1. Shave the treatment area
STEP 2. Place the pulsed light hand piece on the area to be treated.
STEP 3. Hand piece emits a beam of intense pulsed light, which is absorbed by the hair follicles and converted to heat.
STEP 4. Heat disables the hair follicles.
Will the treatments hurt?
StarLux pulsed light systems use a unique long pulse width that delivers energy to the skin over a relatively long period of time. This makes the pulses safer and more comfortable. You may experience a feeling similar to that of a pinch on the back of your hand, but most people do not report this sensation as pain.
Are there any adverse reactions to the treatment?
You may experience temporary redness that may last a few hours to a few days-but this is a rare side-effect.
How many treatments are required?
Laser Hair Removal is only effective on hair follicles that are in the active growth phase and at any single time, only about 20-25% of hair follicles in a given area are in this active growth phase. This means that each treatment destroys a maximum of 25% of remaining follicles that are still able to grow hair. You should notice less new hair growth after each successive treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
